Black Point SA
A small, unique tourist & holiday destination.
Arguably one of South Australia's most prized beachfront holiday destinations.
Black Point features around 150 shacks that line the white crescent shaped shores
where swimming, fishing, crabbing and water skiing are just some of the favourite
activities enjoyed by locals and holiday goers. An approximately two hour drive from
Adelaide, Black Point is serviced by a small shop and also has a dual lane boat ramp.
THE BLACK POINT PROGRESS ASSOCIATION
The Black Point Progress Association was first developed in 1974 and comprises of predominantly of Black Point land owners. The Association has helped to ensure that the needs and views of the community have been reflected and represented in the various stages of growth and change within the community.
Our Strategic Plan sets out the directions and the main priorities for the Black Point Progress Association committee and members of the community.
It provides a basis for our current and future work, it informs other associations, our local council and key agencies and groups of the things that are important for our community.
The plan builds on the work achieved during the previous 5 years and has been developed in consultation with members of our Association and the local community.

BPPA MEMBER BENEFITS
We continue to welcome and encourage new members. Despite
the increased number of regular tenants and new owners in our
community, we have noted a decline in membership in recent years.
As many properties have changed ownership or next generation family
members are taking responsibility for their Black Point homes, we
recognise that membership application or renewal information
may not always be readily available.
The work of your Association, behind the scenes is extensive,
which helps everyone who comes to “Blackie", to enjoy a
stress free, safe and protected community.
